A busy athletics schedule on Sunday in the Olympic Stadium sees Usain Bolt come up against fellow Jamaican Yohan Blake in the men's 100m final as well as Team GB's Christine Ohuruogu defend her 400m title from Beijing. Day Nine has the potential for much British success, leading with Ben Ainslie, who will attempt to become the greatest Olympic sailor in history with a fourth gold medal in finn sailing in Weymouth and Portland. While Paula Radcliffe has sadly dropped out of the women's marathon, Nicola Adams will represent GB at the ExCeL in boxing while Louis Smith is unleashed on the artistic gymnastics pommel horse at North Greenwich Arena four years after his Beijing bronze. World indoor triple jump champion Yamile Aldama is in action in the Olympic Stadium while there's the small matter of the men's tennis final at Wimbledon, which may or may not involve defeated Wimbledon finalist Andy Murray.

On Sunday it's traditional to take tea and who better to do so with than Janet Suzman, Kim Cattrall and Jude Kelly who will be discussing Cleopatra as a heroine for our times in the Purcell Room as part of Antony's Meltdown. The festival curator himself, Antony Hegarty, performs with his group, Antony and the Johnsons and butoh master Yoshito Ohno in a special tribute to Japanese dancer Kazuo Ohno. At the Proms there's a special Family Orchestra session from 1pm at the Royal College of Music, suitable for family members aged 7 plus, ahead of the evening performance by the Children's Choirs from London Boroughs (Harrow, Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea & Westminster) of the world premiere of The Angry Planet, the latest collaboration between prize-winning poet Charles Bennett and composer-conductor Bob Chilcott. Prom 31 follows which includes the London premiere of a new Olympic Fanfare by Ayrshire-born James MacMillan. There's free live music all day at the Exhibition Road Show which draws to a close today. And on the BT London Live stage at Victoria Park with young brothers Hudson Taylor kicking things off at 1pm and Sway finishing up for the day at 9.40pm with a rosta of musicians changing almost hourly throughout the day.

Last chance: Matthew Bourne's Play Without Words at Sadler's Wells; New York based Japanese artist Ei Arakawa's residency in Tate Modern's Oil Tanks, comes to an end - though the Oil Tanks remain open until 28th October 2012; and the Exhibition Road Show ends.
