The former Athletes' Village for the 2012 London Olympics, East Village is London's first Olympic legacy village providing homes, shops, restaurants, cafes and bars on the doorstep of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Set in 27 hectares of parkland, East Village includes plans for 30 shops, restaurants, cafes and bars, the Chobham Academy for students aged 3-19, and a state-of-the-art medical centre. All this is positioned next to the world-class sporting venues used in the Olympic games and within walking distance of 285 hectares of parkland, waterways, and nature trails.
