Visitor Information
The Last Tuesday Society was founded in 1873 at Harvard by William James and brought to London in autumn 2006 by The Chancellor Viktor Wynd and The Provost David Piper. The Mare Street venue is home to The Viktor Wynd Museum of Curiosities, Fine Art & Natural History, a small room - it can only fit 12 people at a time - filled with curiosities including erotica, taxidermy and the remains of dead people. It gets very busy on weekends and group visits are best planned early in the afternoon on a Wednesday or Thursday. The venue also includes a cocktail bar where London's only L'Heure Verte: Absinthe Hour is held weekdays from 6pm to 7pm where you can heighten your experience and succumb to the charm of the infamous Green Fairy. If you are planning to visit the museum and have a drink, reservations for the cocktail bar are advised.
