Afternoon Tea at the Devonshire ClubHoused in an 18th century former East India Company warehouse, it's only appropriate that the plush Devonshire Club has teamed up with The East India Company, who originally introduced tea to the English market back in 1664, for its afternoon tea offering. Taking inspiration from the building's heritage and the goods and spices that were traded between Europe, South Asia and the Far East, the menu offers traditional afternoon tea items with a subtle twist. To start, there's a selection of finger sandwiches filled with honey and clove roast ham, cucumber and caraway yoghurt, and Atlantic prawn and spiced Marie rose. Plain and fruit scones come with Devonshire clotted cream and rose petal preserve while sweet treats include oolong tea infused crème brûlée, dark and white chocolate pink peppercorn and nutmeg delice, and a spiced E.I.C biscuit.
