With open flame Mangal cooking and ancient recipes from across the Ottoman Empire, Baraka is an all-day Turkish restaurant and bar serving mezza plates and mains cooked over charcoal flames. You'll find lovely lamb kofte and homemade bread in this restaurant in Finsbury Avenue Square, close to Liverpool Street Station and right next door to Bar Douro. Other Anatolian dishes such as a slow braised shoulder of lamb tagine, 24-hour marinated chicken and lamb shish are served before baklava for pudding. Here it's homemade with rose and Turkish delight ice cream. Sea blues, warm terracotta clay walls and mood lighting create an intimate atmosphere at this modern restaurant with an elevated bar. Take a high seat and enjoy spiced cocktails and Turkish wines or watch the chefs at work in the open kitchen in the heart of the space. Outside, olive trees fill the terrace where foliage and herbs from Turkey are put to good use in the kitchen.
