Close to cookery school Mimo, the husband and wife team behind the award-winning school and chef's table, have added Batera to their family. Meaning 'together' in Basque, the pintxos bar at The Borough Market Kitchen draws on the culture of the bars that line the streets of the old town in San Sebastian, where Jon and Nicole Warren founded the original Mimo. See row upon row of seasonal, daily-changing pintxos made with Basque specialties and British produce which - as with all Borough Market Kitchen traders - is sourced from Borough Market itself. Changing with the seasons, the menu takes us from tortillas, local cheeses and foraged mushrooms to warming Basque recipes like red wine braised oxtail in the colder months. Once you've decided what to have, grab a seat at the communal dining tables lining The Borough Market Kitchen and sit and eat together with friends and like minded foodies in the heart of Borough Market.
