Samyukta Nair honours the dabbawalas, the men who use Mumbai's local railway to deliver home cooked meals across the city, with this Maddox Street restaurant. Picture towering boxes filled with food made in the homes of the workers, recreated at Bombay Bustle with tiered tiffins presented at table, unpacked to reveal curries, breads and rice - ideal for quick a yet wholesome lunch. Also on the menu are some of the city's most loved dishes including misal pav topped with potato salli, kolhapuri spiced spit roasted chicken, seabass and scallop Tawa Pulao along with Kerala style istew. The dining space, split over two levels, reflects the Art Deco buildings of Bombay's train system, there's an old first-class railway coach with a pewter dining bar and pink clay plaster walls alongside bottle green and pink leather upholstery.
