A popular cafe on Peckham Rye Common overlooking the common and next to the children's One O'Clock Club hut, the Cafe On The Rye is a good place to get a coffee, cake or something more substantial. The menu includes toasted ciabatta, soup of the day and larger lunch options like homemade chickpea madras with minty yogurt and bread or organic beef chilli with sour cream. Cakes and ice cream are good quality and keep the kids happy. They also do a children's menu including simple sandwiches, beef bolognese and Cumberland sausage and beans on toast.
