After wandering down Dalston's busy Ridley Road Market, refuel at Casa Fofo , a "small but smart" (Conde Nast Traveller) restaurant on a quiet road off the beaten path. Founded by Italian chef Adolfo De Cecco (ex Pidgin head chef), this small restaurant, highlighted by Conde Nast Traveller as "Worth travelling to if you don't live nearby and visiting repeatedly if you do", offers a six-course set tasting menu and has a focus on natural and low intervention wines. The set menu, which changes regularly, features Italian dishes with European and Asian influences like middle white pork neck with peanut, Vivid Choi, nori, rice and horseradish or pine with sour cherry and popcorn. If you don't want to do the full menu you can opt for small bites from the snack menu to go with the ten excellent wines on the list, all served by the glass. Casa Fofo's kitchen dream team includes Adolfo, sous chef Sam Coleman and chef de partie Giuseppe Pepe, all ex-Pidgin.
