At Club Mexicana Meriel Armitage challenges the preconception that vegan food is all chickpeas and chia seeds. Specialising in Mexican vegan food and hand pressed tacos, she takes Mexican 'meaty' classics and re-positions them as vegan dishes. Having garnered a strong fan base at several street food markets and London residencies, this Soho outlet is the first permanent Club Mexicana restaurant and brings the vibrant vegan cuisine to the heart of foodie hub Kingly Court. The beer battered tofish taco and cheeseburger taco are two signature dishes while other highlights include a fondue of gooey melted vegan cheese and a Mexican fried chick'n burrito. Diners can watch the creations comes to life thanks to an open kitchen while the bar serves up a line-up of kitsch cocktails, wines and Mexican beers.
