The team behind the award-winning Duck & Waffle have now opened Duck & Waffle Local, offering a more casual dining experience than the iconic sky-high original. Located in the re-developed St James's Market, the restaurant puts an emphasis on local, seasonal and sustainable ingredients, serving up dishes at a speedier and more wallet-friendly price point than its parent brand. Chef Director Dan Doherty has created a menu centred around the unsung hero of poultry: the duck. Diners can feast on dishes such as The Duck Burger, with crispy duck leg; a Duck Jam Doughnut, putting a new twist on sweet-meets-savoury; and the original and much-loved Duck & Waffle, bringing together a duck leg, potato waffle, fried egg and maple syrup. Further signature Duck & Waffle dishes will also feature on the menu, including the BBQ Spiced and Seasoned Crackling Pigs Ears and the Full Elvis, a peanut butter and jelly buttered waffle with vanilla cream, peanut brittle, fresh berries and caramelised banana.
