Visitor Information
Flat Iron founder Charlie Carroll has teamed up with the Holborn wine cellar, Winemakers Club, to open a Flat Iron that's a bit different to the norm. But don't worry, the Flat Iron mission - to make good quality meat available to all - applies here too. A short set menu of bavette, dripping chips and jugs of bearnaise is served at long feasting tables. Bavette, a cut taken from the top of the sirloin, is particularly flavourful, especially when aged and finished well. The highly marbled bavette has been selected from predominantly Angus cattle, raised on select farms on the west coast of Scotland and Ayrshire. In contrast to the succinct menu, the wine list constantly evolves so it always has something new to offer. Daily specials include three reds available by the glass and carafe alongside a selection of over 50 magnums. A stone's throw from Liverpool Street station, Flat Iron X Winemakers Club is a convivial space for communal feasting.
