Serving steak and eggs and liquorice whiskey sours, Jim's Cafe takes a greasy spoon in Clapton and replaces eggy bread and tea with buttermilk chicken and margaritas. These cocktails are good. So good, in fact, that cocktail king Tony Conigliaro named Jim's in the New York Times magazine as one of 'London's Best Watering Holes' alongside The Connaught, Pride of Spitalfields and another Clapton favourite, P. Franco. They also serve tea and coffee and if you can't decide between a brew and a cocktail you can have both with their Builders Tea Collins made with Earl Grey gin, milk syrup and soda. Prices range from a burger and a Brooklyn beer for a tenner to the feasting menu at £35 per person, cocktail included.
