Monster 20 inch pizzas, whole or by the slice, pies in boxes designed by local graphic designers, craft beer, live music and DJs are the deal at Joe Public, where pizza is served California-style with unusual toppings of your choice. Housed in what used to be the Victorian public loos, now tastefully transformed into a pizza place, Joe Public has a late licence and a laid-back yet welcoming vibe. The design features 14 diner-style stools, a hand layered concrete bench top, authentic Victorian metro tiles, all sitting beneath the original exposed beamed ceiling. Enjoy Joe Public's own craft beer or quality wine on tap while enjoying your slice, topped with anything from fresh fig, gorgonzola, delicate prosciutto and pine nuts to tender roasted lamb, purple potato, feta and black olives. No time to linger? No problem. A quick-serve hatch opening out onto the common serves peckish passers-by.
