Husband and wife team Lawrence and Emily Hartley have created a classical French bistro in the heart of Brook Green with Le Petit Citron. Inspired by their love of Provencal cooking, the menu lists classics like onglet steak frites with a pastis, garlic and herb butter, lemon and garlic poussin with French beans, persillade and pine nuts, and wild honey and mint marinated lamb with aubergine and olive tapenade. Weekend brunch is for freshly baked pastries and preserves as well as comforting dishes of Les Gauffres with maple syrup and cinnamon sugar as well as complet: baguette, croissant, orange presse and coffee. Soft pendant lighting and French posters, pale green walls and exposed, original tiles create an informal space where guests can come for everything from quick midweek lunches to relaxed dinners and leisurely weekend brunches. A true neighbourhood restaurant.
