Leandro Carreira has an impressive CV. He was head chef at Nuno Mendes' Viajante, he's worked at Lyle's and Koya but Londrino is his first standalone restaurant and it includes a wine bar. On the residential street of Snowsfields, in London Bridge, Londrino's 70 seat restaurant offers an a la carte menu influenced by the flavours of Portugal and with an emphasis on the sea. Working closely with British farmers and daily fishing boats, as well as sourcing unique ingredients from Portugal, ingredients are top quality. More casual, the all-day wine bar seats 30 (ten around a communal table) and is a no-reservations space where you can enjoy small plates of grilled quail with toffee mayo and pao doce with lemon and Iberico ham, as well a choice of often overlooked Portuguese cheeses and cured meats. Hand-painted tiles from Portugal feature on the bar and open kitchen and in the summer the floor-to-ceiling windows open onto a terrace for up to 20 to dine al fresco.
