Isaac McHale, Daniel Willis and Johnny Smith, the team behind The Clove Club, are responsible for Luca, an Italian restaurant in Clerkenwell where seasonal British produce is used to create contemporary dishes. That translates into choices like spaghettini with Morecambe Bay shrimps, rump of Angus beef stuffed with pancetta, and ravioli of grouse with potato and whisky sauce. These are served in the main room, which has space to seat 60, and is centred around a semi-open kitchen. A separate room serves as a pasta making space by day, private dining room by night, and an additional private dining room, The Garden Space, with its open roof is ideal for summer. Just like The Clove Club, the bar here has a different menu with finger foods, sharing plates and cocktails on offer.
