Just back from a trip to China, Ellen Parr, co-founder of The Art of Dining, and Pete Kelly bring their Chinese pop-up, Lucky & Joy, to a railway arch in East London with a residency on Cambridge Heath Road. Previously in Tottenham and Hackney's Institute of Light, the pop-up builds on Ellen's time spent in the kitchens of Moro and Rochelle Canteen to give a unique take on regional Chinese cooking. Open at lunchtime for simple rice bowls, in the evenings dishes like bang bang chicken salad and steamed fish with black beans and tea leaf salad are served while DJs play until late over the weekend - Beijing by night brought to Bethnal Green.
