Americana diner classics with a twist - think lobster and prawn donuts - are served with American style hospitality at Melrose Diner, the first independent project by Alex Winchester, previously operations director at Village London, owners of Riding House Cafe. At Melrose Diner Alex has put the Allotment Burger (featuring 10 vegetables), the Arizona Dog, Apple Slaw, and a Cobb and Super Food Salad on the menu. Brunches include vanilla pancakes and French toast fingers and there are daily changing specials displayed on blackboards. Located in the middle of a parade of shops and restaurants in Isleworth, the street level space uses simple finishes, concrete, copper, recycled timber, leather and pineapple wallpaper to create a comfortable 40-cover dining area with a counter bar for six.
