Accompanied by their Piaggio van cum oven, James and Thom Elliot have taken up residency at Soho's Berwick Street market. The duo makes up Pizza Pilgrims, the latest street food venture to take London by storm. Joining up with a TV crew, the brothers travelled to Italy, bought the van and toured the country with the aim of discovering the art of pizza making. It would appear they succeeded. Having returned to the UK, they refused to part with their beloved van and instead converted it into a portable pizza oven. Now, they provide lucky Londoners with tantalising Napoli inspired street food. The varying simple menu consists of only two or three pizzas - including toppings such as nduja sausage, Portobello mushroom and truffle oil - and starts from £5. The van parks up at the market most weekdays but diners are advised to check twitter beforehand to avoid disappointment. With a book and possible TV show on the horizon, we're predicting big things for these pizza loving boys.
