Behind a pink facade, t he second restaurant from Sans Pere, the lifestyle house in Shoreditch, brings something sweet to Broadway Market. The cafe close to London Fields focuses on two things: desserts and cocktails. And does them well. Head pastry chef, Roberto Mele, who worked at The Fat Duck and Alan Yau's Park Chinois, has created a marvellous menu of classic and seasonal desserts. Essentially a French bistro with a twist, Sans Pere Broadway Market offers sweet treats like mandarin and olive oil mille-feuille with French inspired cocktails paired with each dessert. Inside, the flooring is covered with geometric stone hexagonal tiles while a carpeted wall creates a warm atmosphere and a grey marble-clad angular bar is the focal point around which the desserts and cocktails are made.
