Named by Observer Food Monthly as one of the best places to eat in the UK, The Coal Shed in Brighton has also been recommended by The Telegraph, The Guardian and the Brighton & Hove Foodie Awards. Owner Razak Helalat, who's also behind Brighton's The Salt Room, moves from coast to city to open The Coal Shed in the huge new One Tower Bridge development. In Brighton, steaks are the highlights of the menus and we expect the same at their London restaurant. Overlooking the Thames, fresh fish and crustaceans are delivered directly to the restaurant by boat. M eat and fish are grilled over burning charcoal - hence the name - in an oven which can generate intense heats of up to 500 degrees celsius to ensure succulent meats that are full of flavour .
