The go-to coffee spot in Dalston for great coffee and yummy breakfast, brunch and lunch, Tina, We Salute You opened a second outpost in E20, in East Village in September 2015. A great place for a full breakfast and brunch style lunch, the menu options include poached eggs on sourdough, American style pancakes, French toast, eggs Benedict and hot chorizo baguettes. Coffee is supplied by Alchemy Coffee Roasters and comes in the form of lattes, flat whites and Americanos. Come evening, the clatter of coffee cups give way to the tinkle of glasses and Tina becomes a bar from 5pm-11.30pm. Drinks include classic cocktails such as Martinis, Negronis, Old Fashioneds and Manhattans, there's a select wine list including some English options and bottled beers. Three nights a week street food vans park up outside acting as a guest kitchen. But who, you may well ask, is Tina? For the answer look to the lady on the wall, a blown up photo of the mysterious and exotic Tina painted by the equally mysterious J. H. Lynch in the sixties.
