Located under Cambridge Street Kitchen and part of the Artist Residence, the Clarendon Cocktail Cellar bar takes iconic artworks and turns them into drinks. Georges Seurat's 'A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte' becomes a gin, lemon and sparkling wine cocktail, while Andy Warhol's 'Campbell's Soup Cans' has inspired a bacon bourbon tincture. Taking its name from the building's former incarnation, The Clarendon, an old public house dating back to 1852, the bar's cocktails come served on an art work coaster. Complimentary popcorn flavoured with toffee-apple and cinnamon, sea salt or bacon dust is served along with a short list of British pub snacks and dishes to share. The bar shares the basement space with The Club Room and a ping-pong snug while parquet wooden flooring, vintage leather chairs and an eclectic assembly of artwork and curiosities give the place an air of lived-in comfort.
