Visitor Information
Opened in 2010 in Leather Lane Market, this original Department of Coffee and Social Affairs branch was the culmination of 18 months of work spent perfecting the brand. Aiming to offer something different to the coffee chains engulfing London, the independent brand now has eight coffee shops across London serving 'proper' coffee. With people and coffee the focus, each of the locations are different, with their own personality and creative staff members. This Leather Lane branch is split into two core areas by the building's original brick walls, offering a meeting room, an intimate booth and communal seating. With the original brickwork, a ship's lintel and a bricked-up jeweller's smelter, it's a unique spot that provides a coffee-focused social hub for residents and workers in the area.
