The Happenstance is one of two new ventures launching in 2013 by the Drake and Morgan group, the company which began with The Refinery on the ground floor of the Blue Fin Building in Southwark in 2008 and which has since expanded to include The Parlour in Canary Wharf, The Anthologist and The Folly, both in the City, and The Drift which opened in Heron Tower on Bishopsgate in July 2011. The Happenstance, a large 8,000 square foot space at No 1 St Paul's Churchyard, has enough room for 238 people to eat and drink, an open kitchen, deli, mixology table, florist, bar and private dining room. Just around the corner at Holborn Viaduct will be The Haberdashery at Sixty London, the second and larger of the two Drake and Morgan projects set to open in 2013.
