A local urban living room found beneath Union Street Cafe in Borough, Union Street Bar is Gordon Ramsay's first destination bar. Open until 2am on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, it's an ideal spot for after dinner drinks. House cocktails include the Southwark Angel, a mix of gin, green chartreuse, raspberries and cucumber, Hunting for Mary, a bourbon and bitters mix with a splash of rosemary syrup thrown in, and North by Northwest, for vodka enthusiasts who like their spirit sharpened with pear and lemon juices. With soft lighting, an eclectic mix of furniture and an interior designed by Russell Sage Studios (also responsible for Zetter Townhouse, Grain Store, and Jason Atherton's Social Eating House), the bar features specially commissioned pieces by local artists who have given their interpretation of London living.
