Visitor Information
Subterania , previously Acklam Hall, is a legendary club much loved by indie fans. O riginally opened in 1989 by the Mean Fiddler, it has seen well-known artists such as the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Eminem, Foo Fighters, Paul Weller, Madonna, Pulp and Alanis Morissette all performing on its stage, before it was sold in 2003. Music mogul Vince Power, the man behind the Mean Fiddler music empire, reopened the "iconic gig venue" (Evening Standard) in 2018, restoring the 600-capacity club under the Westway where you can see a wide variety of music performed live.
