Set over two levels at 89 Great Eastern Street, Trapeze Bar occupies the space that was previously home to East Village for over five years and comes with the backing of East Village programmers Stuart Patterson and Barry Eaton. Combining a bar and club with the kind of extravagence you'd usually associate with the circus, Trapeze offers cocktails, simple but tasty food and a spectacular party. The ground floor is open 5 days a week and on weekends the whole venue is opened up with real house and deep disco from some of London's finest DJs and promoters in the basement club. Launch night on Thursday 27th March 2014 kicks off with Hawaiian Bop, beginning a regularly Thursday night residency featuring rockabilly and rock n roll. Friday sees Picture Disc in the lounge and basement while Saturday Giles Smith from Secretsundaze is joined by Stuart Patterson for a night of wicked house, just one of the much loved events from East Village - including Sancho Panza - returning.
