Hidden away under the arches of Charing Cross, Champagne Charlies wine bar and restaurant is an ideally located meeting place for Londoners on the move. Charmingly intimate, the surroundings are a fresh, welcome change from the faceless chain bars taking over the city, providing both a vibrant but cosy bar area and a slightly more formal restaurant space to choose from depending on your mood. Both feature exposed brick walls, wood panelling and dark, pared back furnishings, yet Champagne Charlies somehow still feels light and airy despite both this and its below stairs setting. As part of the Davy's brand, a top notch wine merchants established in 1870 and as well respected now as it was then, Champagne Charlies of course offers guests an unbeatable selection of wines picked and tasted by a dedicated team of connoisseurs. The food menu meanwhile puts great emphasis on home grown British seasonal produce, the tasty dishes created to maximise the flavour of top-notch ingredients.
