In Battersea, in a former coal warehouse on a riverside spot, London House is one of two Gordon Ramsay restaurants to launch in close succession. Opened in February 2014, London House followed the September 2013 opening of the Union Street Cafe in Borough Market. Ramsay's head chef at London House is Anna Kelly, who has previously worked at leading restaurants in Paris. Her husband Colin runs the critically acclaimed Picture restaurant in central London. Baked haddock with squid ink, venison on a bed of braised puy lentils, and chicken with sweet potato and fried polenta are typical dishes at London House which is more of a fine dining concept than Union Street Cafe with interiors by top interior designer Russell Sage who has already designed Ramsay restaurants Petrus and Bread Street Kitchen.
