This small Spanish tapas bar in trendy Walthamstow Village is never short of customers or atmosphere. Delicately presented delights will quickly cover the small blue tiled tables, and just as quickly disappear. Exposed brick walls and Spanish music set the scene in this converted barber's shop, tuck in to a good bottle of rioja and graze from a selection of the authentic 'small plates.' Orford Saloon's chef was brought in all the way from Espanol to produce modest but tasty classics such as tender lamb cutlets and juicy meatballs, patatas bravas and succulent pigs cheeks. They also cook up four varieties of paella, which takes a little longer in the kitchen but is well worth the wait. Though small in size unfortunately the food isn't small in cost, but fairly average for the area. Service is friendly, and they appear to have worked out any teething problems they may have encountered at the beginning. They have now expanded into the back room to accommodate their growing popularity.
