Slightly tucked away on Cowcross Street but still within a few seconds stroll of Farringdon railway and tube station, The Fence is an unassuming bar and restaurant with a good reputation for its food. Subtly put together to display comfort and class in equal measure, The Fence is suitably modern with plenty of comfy couches and armchairs in which to laze. The interior is all blonde wood, chrome and leather, very much suited to the local after work crowd while outside a surprise terrace allows for lovely al fresco drinking and dining, although get in quick because even on overcast days this space soon fills up with Londoners eager to grab just a glimpse of sun. The cuisine is typical of gastropub style fare, with all of your favourites done well and a few surprises too. Of course The Fence's bar is well stocked, with a wide selection of wines as well as several beers and the requisite spirits awaiting the Friday night crowd. A Farringdon favourite with plenty to offer.
