Full of Greek charm, The Four Lanterns has been a favourite of central London restaurant-goers for many, many years. In fact, since 1970 this unpretentious slice of Greece - named after a famous Cypriot bridge, Ta Tessera Phanaia in Limassol - has given Londoners a taste for the Ionian lifestyle with its warm, hospitable welcome, cosy, authentic surroundings and delicious, sunny food. Gourds and lamps hang from the beamed ceiling of The Four Lanterns, smiling waitresses dart between the tables and the smells of charcoal grilling waft from the kitchen. It's an evocative experience made all the more sensuous with the arrival of your meal - traditional Greek dishes ranging from light, fresh salads to hearty, flavoursome kebabs.
