This long-established chocolatier, set up in 1875 at the behest of Edward VII, has been making the finest chocolate in traditional French style for 130 years. In spite of Charbonnel et Walker's continental origins - chocolates are still hand-made to the traditional recipes of Parisian chocolatier Madame Charbonnel - the goodies feel very English. The smell of delicious chocolate hits you as walk into the tiny but well laid out shop in Canary Warf which followed the original Bond Street store. Chocolates are colour co-ordinated to indicate different flavours or types of chocolate - pink for champagne truffles - and a central table display helps guide customers through the small space.
