With its mix of clothes, cards and kitsch toys, Joy is ideal as a gift hunting ground. Even if you object to them calling themselves an 'urban lifestyle' shop that really does sum it up. There's an engrossing array of delights to peruse from fashionable clothes and eccentric homeware to kinky candy knickers and Superman coasters. Accessories, retro fashion and urban chic can keep you entertained as you go trawling through the rails. There's a handful of these stores around town and helpfully they tend to be at transport hubs like Clapham and Fulham Broadway. So if you're waiting for a train or you've got a few minutes to spare before meeting a friend, Joy is a good distraction.
