The Royal Exchange, a high-end shopping arcade in the City that originally launched in 1568 before reopening in 2001, runs between Threadneedle and Cornhill streets. Today this elegant building is home to some of the most well-known luxury brand names in the world: Aspinal of London, Fortnum & Mason, Hermes, L?Occitane, Mont Blanc, Penhaligons, Jo Malone and Tiffany & Co to name but a few. At the centre of its elegant covered courtyard is the stylish Fortnum & Mason Restaurant and Bar. With its combination of expensive shopping, elegant architecture and superior food and drink, The Royal Exchange attracts bankers with big pay packets who can afford the luxury items without blanching. It?s also a great place to find this type of shop without having to trek to Bond Street.
