Boasting a host of beautifully preserved items from the late Victorian era to the 30s, this shop is a haven for women who want to dress up. Virginia Bates, the glamourous and eponymous owner of this boudoir, hand picks every item. The result is an exclusive selection of clothes made with care, complexity and mesmerising attention to detail - these are very glamorous, exquisite pieces, in superb condition. There are beautiful beaded dresses from the 20s, chiffon evening gowns from the 30s and Edwardian lace underwear. Don’t expect bargains, the prices reflect the quality of the clothing.
