Visitor Information
Arriving by boat at Hampton Court Pier is like following in the footsteps of Henry VIII who often used this mode of transport to get to his favourite residence, Hampton Court Palace. Making the round trip from central London to Hampton Court Palace, a journey which takes three to four hours one way, is a day out in itself. The pier itself is operated by Turks while the Westminster Passenger Service Association runs trips from Westminster Pier to Hampton Court Pier in the summer. The journey between Kew Pier and Hampton Court Pier is the most scenic part of the trip with the locks at Richmond and Teddington to navigate and plenty of wildlife to look at.
